At a meeting in Sud- bury, the Association's sub execu- tive was 6mpowered to convene an authorizing board which will make the final decision. Meanwhile, ad- vice on the question of a site is to be sought from the Churches, in- dustry and the Provincial Govern- ment. The association has so far care- fully avoided questions of location, saying the decision should be made. by senior levels of the churches involved and the govern- ment, Yesterday's meeting also sket- _ ched out the form it has in mind for a great university of the north. The University is to be made-up of various colleges within a feder- ation under a non-denominational board. of governors. This would qualify the institution for govern- ment grants. It was emphasized that the ideas were necessarily tentative and would need the agreement of Pro- testant and Roman Catholic Churches ,and other bodies before they could be adopted as a final form.
