Mr. Norman Thibeault accom- panied by his sons Ernie and Romeo iand daughter Mrs. L. Riley spent tthe week-end in Blind River where they attended the marriage of Mr. Roger Thibeault to Miss Donna Kaye Lessard. The wed- ding took place on Saturday, May 16 at St. James Irish Church in Blind River with Father Skillen officiating. Mrs. I. Iresidder and daughters Judy, Patricia and Dorothy left Wednesday for Spanish where they visited Mrs. Tresidder's par- ents Mr. and Mrs. H. Fleming. Mr. and Mrs. E. Tresidder and Mr. I. Whitehead, Zone Com- mander of District K made her of- ficial visit to Temagami Ladies' Auxiliary to the Canadian Legion on Monday, May 18. Mrs. P. Winks went to Temagami with her. Mrs. M. Steele, Bourlamaque, was a recent visitor at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. St. Denis. Mrs. Jean Kelly and son Kenny of Bourlamaque were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs, M. Kelly for the holiday. Miss Theresa Williams of Ma- lartic was a recent guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. M. Kelly. Mr. J. Frackleton, son Bobby and daughter Mrs. Marion Hunter of Bourlamaque spent a few days in town visiting relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Dehanna of Lively visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. P. Winks recently. Mr. P. Winks visited his 'son-in- law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Pearce at their cottage at Sesikinika Lake. Mrs. M. J. Cunningham is visit- ing her son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Cunning- ham at Islington. Mr. and Mrs. Pat Shannon have been visiting relatives and friends at Ajax and other points in South- ern Ontario. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Mallett spent the holiday week-end visiting friends at Burlington. Mr. and Mrnrs; Frank Aimone spent the holiday week-end in Co- balt visitmg Mr. and Mrs. Len Cunningham. Mr. Lawrence Buck left for Re- gina to meet his wife who has been visiting relatives. Local Tennis Club To Hold Meeting A meeting will be held at the Tri-Town Elks building to form a new executive for the Haileybury Tennis Club, also elect new offi- cers. President Steve Scalzo has been transferred to a new location, therefore is unable to continue his past work with the club. Mrs. Lor- raine Pursel, who has held the position of secretary-treasurer for the past two-years is resigning as she is moving away. We hope to see all interested in tennis present at this meeting where repairs for the courts "wi be discussed, also the distribution of memberships. Memberships are available from Miss Claudette Sauve, Georgina Avenue, Hailey. bury. Prices are: Senior, $5; Jun- ior, $3; married couple, $8; family $15. x The set of lights which provides tennis during the evenings will be put on very shortly. Anyone own- ing a membership has the privil- ege of acquiring a key which will enable tennis during the cool hours of a summer evening.
