Miss Dorothy Craig is spending a week's holiday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Craig. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Oblin are their daugh- ters, Mrs. Jeanette Suddes of Ayl- mer and Mrs. Rita Poppleton of Spanish, also their granddaughter, Lynn Poppleton of Spanish. Mrs. Oblin has recently returned from Misericordia Hospital where she underwent surgery. Mr. and Mrs. A. Catudal were in Sturgeon Falls last week-end where they visited Mrs. Catudal's brother, Mr. D. Tremblay and also visited her uncle, Mr. M. Chart- rand of Cache Bay. Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Beaton of Noranda visited friends in town during the week-end. Dr. and Mrs. George Johnston of Toronto will spend the month of July holidaying at Sandy Cove. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Barner of Schefferville, Que., are spending part of their holidays in Haileybury as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. C. Bolan. They have also visited friends in Charlton, Kirkland Lake, and Englehart. Mr. N. D. Mclsaac returned Sunday from a two week business trip to Parry Sound. He was ac- companied by Mrs. MclIsaac. Guests at the home of Judge J. B., and Mrs. Robinson are Mrs. Robinson's parents, Professor and Mrs. W. R. Bridger of Kingston. Miss Marina McIlwaine of St. Joseph's Hospital, North Bay, spent Monday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. Mcllwaine. Mrs. Kennedy also visited with Mrs. Alma Ken- nedy at Cobalt. Miss Audrey Thuerck of Albany, New York, is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Thuerck. Friends of Mr. M. J. Foster will be sorry to hear that he is ser- iously ill and is a patient in St. Joseph's Hospital in North Bay. Mrs. M. J. Foster, who has been in town for the last week, is re- turning to her son's home in Fer- ris. ; Women's Institute Has May Meeting "Say something good about the person on your left'? was the roll call for the May meeting of the Haileybury Women's Institute held last Thursday in the Legion Hall, with Mrs. Ivan Sadler in the chair. Mrs. E. B. Campbell reported to the members regarding the district directors' meeting which she had attended in New Liskeard. Delegates appointed to attend the district annual meeting in Tema- gami were Mrs. I. Sadler, Mrs. R. MacGillivray, Mrs. E. B. Camp- bell and Mrs. W. Garbutt. é Mrs. MacGillivray, who had at- tended the Workshop on Tweed- smuir Histories, held in New Lis- keard recently, as a district pro- ject, told the members of the many interesting suggestions and advice given by Mrs. Walker, who conducted the Workshop.
