Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Sadler and children Dianne, David and Garry, spent ithe past week-end in Tema- Joseph Thisdelle The death occurred in St. Mi- chael's Hospital, Toronto, on Sun- day, June 14, of Joseph Thisdelle, formerly of Haileybury, following an illness of ten days. Mr. Thisdelle, who was 59 years of age, was born in Gracefield, Quebec, the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Thisdelle, and came to Hailey- bury in 1913. He moved to Toronto in 1943 and followed the occupa- tion of taxi driver. His funeral was held from Holy Cross Church, Wednesday morning at nine a.m., with Monsignor Al- phonse Dupuis singing the service. Mr. Thisdelle was married in MacIntyre is in Toronto attending the Rebekah Ottawa on June 11, 1927, to the former Miss Laurence Bertrand, who survives him, with three Theresa (Mrs. L. Plaunt) and Lena (Mrs. Clyde Giddings) both of Hailey- bury, four sons, Marcel of Toronto, Guy of Camp Borden, Ronald and Eugene, both of Haileybury and eight grandchildren. Other surviv- ors are a brother, Gerry Thisdelle of Toronto and a sister, Mrs. Art Souliere of Mattawa. Pall-bearers were Marcel Ber- trand,:Hull, Falomon Bertrand, Ot- tawa, 'Provin Bertrand, Montvers, Edgar Bertrand, Hull, Clyde Gid- dings :and Jack Plaunt, both of Haileybury. Burial was in the Haileybury Catholic Cemetery.
