Army Holds Picnic At Liskeard Beach. Although July 25, 1959 was not the best day, as far as good weath- er was concerned, for a_ picnic, plans had been completed and it was felt that it would be too big a disappointment to the boys and girls to cancel it, so it was held at the New Liskeard beach as plan- ned. Twenty-five boys and _ girls along with mom and dad, big sis- ter and brother and a few grown- up friends played ball; ran races, enjoyed the swimming (as well as free ice cream and pop), and in general had a wonderful day. The Salvation Army Officer wishes ito thank the Elk's Lodge and Connelly's Garage Ltd. for supplying the picnic bus.
