United Church Col- lege. The College, if completed, will be associated with the projected Un- iversity of Northern Ontario. At the meeting, attended by close to 50 people, a picture of the overall planning was given, and an explanation of the important role a United -Church College would play in turning a dream of Northerners into a reality. Also emphasized was the need for additional university accomo- dation in Canada, if the youth of the rapidly growing country is to be given a chance for higher edu- cation. Members heard that four North- ern Presbyteries have launched their financial campaign to raise the necessary funds, and that this meeting, and another to be held in Cochrane shortly were being held in urge the two remaining Pres- byteries to start their campaigns as soon as possible. It was also revealed that the or- ganization had made considerable headway with the University in North Bay and with the Sudbury University. The support of both will be needed to meet Department of Education requirements for a University. The representations made at the meeting will be presented at the Temiskaming Presbytery meeting to be held early in September.
