Theresa Church Cobalt was the scene of a pretty wedding on 'Monday, September 14, when 'Miss Aurelia Bernachia daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. 'G. Ber- machia of Cobalt became the bride of Mr. Francesco Pedalino of Elliot Lake, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. Ped- aliho 'of Tarsia-Ceszensa, . Italy. Father O. Lemay officiated and "music was sung by the choir of "Ste. Theresa School with. Sister Ste, Cyr at the organ. Gladioli, asters and other fall flowers dec- orated. the church for the occas- ion. Given in marriage by her brother Mr: Albert: Bernachia, the 'bride chose for her wedding a waltz length gown of white silk organza, fashioned with a round neckline, very full skirt and long 'sleeves. It featured a pleated cum- merbund with a big bow at the back. A pillbox heaadress held her lace trimmed shoulder length veil and she carried a nosegay of red roses and lily of the valley. Gloria Paoletti, a niece of the bride was maid of honour and wore a gown of iced coral silk organza, round neck, sleeveless bodice and waltz length full skirt, with pleat- ed cummerbund and big bow at the back. She wore a matching feather hat amd carried a nosegay of yellow roses. The groom's broth- er, Cosmo Pedalino was best man. A reception was held at the bride's home at 22 Watson Street. Mrs. A. Paoletti, sister of the bride re- ceived the guests wearing a gray printed dress and corsage of red roses and white accessories. For a wedding trip to Southern Ontario the bride wore a black tailored suit, white accessories and corsage of white mums. On their return they will reside in Elliot Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Pedalino received many telegrams from well wishing rel- atives and friends in Italy, United States and Elliot Lake. Ladies Auxiliary to the Canadian Legion Mrs. P. Winks presided at the meeting held on Monday, Sept- ember 14 of ithe Ladies Auxiliary to the Canadian Legion. Mrs. B. Leonard and Mrs. J. O'Rourke ad- vanced the colours and routine business followed. Initiations are fcards were to be held at the next meeting which will be on October 12. Tem- agami Auxiliary will be guests at this meeting. A donation for the Veteran's T. B. -Camp was. ap- proved. A report on the weekly euchres was given by the convener Mrs. J. O'Rourke. Several of the members had ibeen ill and gifts and sent. A letter from Muriel Tresidder thanking the Auxiliary for the farewell present they had given her was read. Also a thank you note for ia gift was re- ceived from a member, the former Mrs. M. Ruddy who-was married on August 29 in Temagami.
