It was a complete success and those members who assisted in the sales as well as the citizens who bought the peanuts, were thanked by Mr. Hughes. Guest speaker at the meeting was Robert Hoffman of New York City, author of the book "'A Mile of Gold", which is a story of the early stages of mining in North- ern Ontario. Mr. Hoffman spoke on Uranium and its uses in connection with el- ectrical power in mining. He was introduced by Fred Thompson and thanked by George Morissette. Fred Le Gallais of North Bay was a visitor. The usual sing-song was led by Darry Hogan with Miss. Nancy Whitby at the piano.
