Thursday, March 24, 1960 4 Curlers Win Event At Elk Lake Spiel Two rinks of curlers won: the third event at Elk Lake's first an- nual Spring Mixed Bonspiel recent- ly; with Bert Levelly's rink win- ning first prize. Rink personnel were Marion Levelly, vice; John Wilson, second and Marion Mal- linson, lead. They received TV snack tables donated by Pearl Tremblay and Mr. Ted Pritchard, BP Garage. Second prize was won by Ben Bourget, skip; Germaine Larocaue, John McLennan and Mary Bourget. The ladies receiv- ed cups and saucers and the men, wine glasses, donated by the curl- ing club. High Ruth Ann Bott of Englehart and Billy Peters of New Liskeard gave an: excellent account of them- selves although they did not carry off first prize. Lunch wass-served to contestants and officials following 'the after- noon of speeches.
