Judge and Mrs. John B. Robinson, of 112 Lake Shore Road, Haileybury, Ontario, are spending their fourth annual Bermuda holiday at Horizons, a cottage colony, in Paget Parish. Judge Robinson is the District Court Judge in Haileybury. The couple arrived in Bermuda on April Ist, and plan to return to Canada on April 14th. Curling Club Draws Debenture The third installment of the Bond Issue of the Haileybury Curl- ing Club Limited was drawn on Saturday evening, April 9, at The Cobalt - Haileybury Curling Club. Thirty bonds to the value of $1,500.00 were drawn under the supervision of Mayor Arthur H. Cooke, Wm. V. Fleming, and H. L. Umphrey. It was regretted that N. J. McAulay of North Bay who Was chairman of our Bond issue in 1956, could not be present to as- sist in the draw as pressure of other business made it impossible for him to be present. Our bond issue financed our artificial ice plant and if it wasn't for Neil Mc- Aulay's initiative we might still be curling on natural ice. It is surprising in looking back over the years when the club can- vassed the town selling bonds, and the number of citizens who claim- ed that the club could never meet their bond payments. The club are as good as their word and any- one holding bonds, that have not as yet been drawn, can rest as- sured that when their bonds are WHEN "OLD HAN WINTER" "SHOWS HIS FACE", \ | OUR HEATING SYSTEMS i WILL PUT Ale BACK CAMPSALL ELECTRIC CO.LTD. ELECTRICAL CONTRACTING PLUMBING HEATING IML 7-4359 «1.00 ao) Payments drawn the club will not default on their obligation. The total bond issue was for $28,- 600.00 as the club issued 572 bonds to 175 individuals. On April 12, 1958, the club had their first bond issue when-28 bonds were drawn valued at $1,400.00. The second bond issue was paid on April 24, 1959, when 30 bonds were drawn for a value of $1,500.00. That same evening two bonds were donated to the club at a value of $50. each. This year the club drew 30 bonds to a value of $1,500.00 That leaves the club still owing $24,100.00 on the bond issue, or it should be said on the artificial ice plant. The following -list shows the bonds drawn last Saturday and anyone whose name appears below should deliver or mail their bonds to the Cobalt - Haileybury Curling Club P.O. Box 488, Haileybury, On- tario, and a cheque will be mailed immediately on receipt of the bonds. Bond No. 801, W. R. Lowery & Son Limited; No. 89, Adele Ma- loney; No. 173, A. D. Hellens; No. 9, S.
