Sally Whitby was the winner of the senior grades, speaking on "The Chessman Case." She was awarded the Judge J. B. Robinson Trophy. The trophy donaited by the Home and Schoo! Association for the junior grades was won by Dennis Herbert, his subject, "Why we need a new High School". The Haileyburian Page 7 The prizes awarded by the Hail- eybury Rotary Club went to, first, Sally Whitby, second, Dennis Her- bert, and third, Richard Simpson, who spoke on "The Pacific Is- lands". Judges for the competition were Dalton Dean, Q.C.; George J. Black, Crown Attorney, and Rev. Roy Nixon. At the conclusion of the ora- torical program, Mr, T. G. .Tul- loch, on behalf of the Encyclopedia Britannica Company, presented a set of Encyclopedia Britannica to the school. They were received by Mr. T. W.
