The bride is tthe daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Whitby of Haileybury and ithe groom is tthe son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo James O'Shaughnessy of Cobalt. Reverend Father Jefifirey offici- ated at the ceremony. The (bride, given in mariage by her father, was 'dressed in white silk organza over taffeta with chantilly lace applique embroider- ed tin pearls. Her fingertip veil was held in place by a 'pearl coronet. She carried a bouquet of white orchids with stephanotis. The bride's attendants were Miss Sally Whitby, a sister, who was maid of honor; and two brides- maids, Mrs. John Smith, a sister of the bride, and Mrs: Tom Ken- nelly, sister of the groom. They were dressed-in 'full skirt- ed pomme green organza over matching peau de sole sheaths with peau de soie cummerbunds held in place with organza flowers. Their picture hats repeated tthe cummerbund motif 'and they calr- ried bouquets of white carnations with button mums and stephanotis. The bride's mother was dressed in cameo pink and chiffon with dnaped skirt, matching orchid cor- Sage and matching (flowered hat. The groom's mother wore (flowered green organza, white accessories and orchid 'corsage. Lawrence Hurst was the :soloist \ while Mrs. J. A H, Joyal of Hiail- eybury played the organ. John Steers was best man, and Glen McKinnon, Tom Kennelly and Leo O'Shaughnessy, Jr., were ushers. A reception was held at the Haileybury Golf 'Club, attended by more than 'fifty guests from 'a dis- tance as well as many local resi- dentts. Leaving for a honeymoon trip through ithe province of Quebec, the bride wore an arbor green print dress topped with a plain matching duster coat and white accessories.
