Valentine, accompanied by Miss Kathy Valentine have re- turned after spending two weeks with Mrs. Valentine's daughter, Miss Lililan Valentine at her sum- mer cottage at North Bay. Miss Valentine accompanied them to Haileybury to visit her brothers, Keith and John Valentine, and has now returned to her home in Mont- real. Mrs. Royce Cannell and children, Wayne, Eric and Beryle, have re- turned to their home in Timmins after spending a week with Mrs. Cannell's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Stewart. Mr. Cannell came down for the week-end to take his family home. Mrs. Tim Monk and Mrs. J. Strapple, both of Windsor, have been visiting Mr: and Mrs. John Belland. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Whorley are spending a few days in Toronto. Miss Lois Rose is visiting at the home of her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. William Tin- ney, Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Bud- geon are their son F/L B. J. and Mrs. Budgeon and their three child- ren, and Mrs. Budgeon's mother, Mrs. Balentyne, all of Calgary. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Sheldon and son Jimmy, have returned to their home in Larder Lake after visit- ing with Mrs. Sheldon's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tracy Ross. Mr. and Mrs. Marcel Proulx and sons Dennis and Ronald of Mont- real have been visiting with Mr. Proulx's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. B, E. Proulx. Mrs. Dan McKinnon has return- ed after spending a ten-day holiday with her husband at Ottawa and at Deep River. Don McGregor, who is a patient in the Weston Hospital, spent the past week-end with his family here. Mr. and Mrs. Rene Lapointe and daughters, Diane and Suzanne, have returned to their home in Verdun, Que., afiter visiting Mrs. Lapointe's parents, Mr. and Mrs. L, Dupuis. H. Smith of Tillsonburg was a business visitor in Haileybury on Tuesday. Mrs. W. R. Gordon has returned from a holiday visit-to Midland and Owen Sound. Mrs. A. Hargrave and son Fred visited at the home of Mrs. Har- grave's parents, Mr. and Mrs: Fred Munn at Frankfort, for ten days. Mr. Hargrave motored down during the week-end ito bring them home. Miss Lynne Hargrave who has spent the past four weeks with her grandparents, has also return- ed home. Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Doug Hargrave during the week-end were their daughter, Mrs. Earl McParland, Mr. Mc- Parland, Marylou, Tommy and Carolyn also George Hargrave of Redbridge. Mrs. Adele Maloney is spending a week's holiday at Houston Lake. Mr. and Mrs. George Weston were recent visitors in North Bay. Dugas - Quevillon Bouquets of summer flowers de- corated the altar of Ste. Theresa Church, Cobalt, for the wedding on Saturday, July 16, of Marie Reine Quevillon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Quevillon of Cobalt and Leonidas Dugas, New Lis- keard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex- andre Dugas of New Liskeard. Rev. Father J. O. Lemay officiat- ed. Wedding music was played by Miss Susan Dunn and the soloist was Mr. Lawrence Hurst. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a_ street-length dress of white silk organza em- broidered with white satin roses. A tiara held her shoulder length veil which was edged with seed pearls and she carried a bouquet of red roses. Her jewellry was a pearl. necklace and earrings. Miss Yvonne Quevillon, young sister of the bride was flower girl. She was gowned in a white nylon Gress, white flowered crown and carried a basket of mums, Ushers were Ronald and Gerald Quevillon. A reception followed at the Co- balt Community Hall. Mrs. Quevil- lon received the guests wearing a beige dress, white accessories and a corsage of yellow roses. She was assisted by Mrs. Dugas, who wore a blue flowered dress and white accessories. Her corsage was of yellow roses. The newly weds left later for a wedding trip to Caraquet, New Brunswick, the bride travelling in a beige ensemble with white ac- cessories. They will reside in Co- balt.
