STOCKTON, Calif. -- Authorities are hunting for a truck thief who probably got stung. Truck owner Arthur Hayes of rural Garden Grove said the thief kidnapped 1,000,000 bees. Hayes stopped at a Stockton mo- tel, leaving the bees in 108 hives on the vehicle in the cool night air. He later discovered truck and bees were gone. "If the truck is left standing in the daytime the bees will prob- ably swarm out of the hives and sting everyone -around," Hayes said. He explained the motion of the truck cools off the hives.
