Haileybury opened the scoring with D. Lamothe notching the goal and L. St. Cyr assisting. Cobalt reared back with R. Gaureau scoring two goals and H. Spencer one. Hailey- bury tied the score on a goal by M. Black after L. St. Cyr had scored. S. Fleming put Haileybury in the lead at the nine minute mark of the last frame but two quick goals by H. Spencer gave Cobalt the win. Haileybury Loses Third Straight Game Haileybury lost their third straight game to the Earlton Mid- gets in New Liskeard 4 to 2. D. McCarty opened the scoring in the first period with B. Blair assist- ing. C. Heroux tied the score to end the period. A. Bolan scored early in the second frame with D. McCarty assisting to give Hailey- bury a short lived lead as Earl- ton's A. Couschene broke loose and raced in to score all alone. G. Paiement fired two third-period goals to wrap up the win for Earl- ton. Only three penalties were call- ed with Earlton drawing two. Liskeard Lions Edge Cobalt New Liskeard Lions edged Co- balt 5 to 4 at the Memorial Arena in their first encounter of the sea- son. Bernard Moonie was the big man for the Liskeard crew coming up with four goals, all unassisted, to practically win the game sin- gle handed. Big Jim Grant scored the other Lions marker. Murray Taylor fired two goals for Co- balt with H. Spencer and R. Gau- reau scoring singles. The game was a rough contest with the Co- balt coach M. Kelly blaming the referees for his team's loss. New Liskeard Lions trounced Earlton 16 to 3 in a wide open high scoring game at Memorial arena. Bill-White led the Liskeard attack with five goals followed by the league's leading scorer Bernard Mooney who had three goals and three assists- for- the evening. The meeting opened with the Members' Prayer. The Bible read- ing was taken by Mrs. T. Huff and the synopsis by Miss L. Clark. Minutes of the previous meeting were read by the secretary, Mrs. E. Young and the treasurer's re- port given by Mrs. Norman Abra- ham. Mrs. E. Mantle, Mrs. H. John- ston and Miss L. Clark were ap- pointed as the lunch committee for the January meeting. Midget League Standings Record Enrolment For 4H Clubs Canada's project enrolment in 4-H reached a new high in 1960 of 78,206, an inerease of 2,352 over 1959. During the same period the number of organized 4-H clubs in- creased from 5,271 to 6,251. The actual number of boys and girls taking part in 4H in 1960 was 65,407, a decline of 1,279 from 1959.
