LaBine - Malkin A wedding of local interest was solemnized on Saturday, June 17th at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Parry Sound, Ont., when Miss Nancy Ann Malkin became the bride of Mr. Paul Anthony La- Bine. The bride is the only daugh- ter of Dr. and Mrs. Edwin Malkin of Parry Sound, and the groom is the son of Mr. John A. LaBine and the late Mrs. LaBine of Hailey- bury, Ontario. The church was decorated with yellow and white gladioli and yel- and the Rev. F. M. low roses, Fitzpatrick officiated at the double ring ceremony and the Nuptial Mass. Miss Pansy Uwyer was. organist and the soloists were Mr. William Mitchell and Mr. Robert Mitchell. Given in marriage by her father the bride wore a floor length gown of white organza over faille, long sleeved with scoop neckline trim- med with pearled alencon lace with appliqued paniers on the skirt fall- ing into a chapel train. A tiny headdress of alencon lace trimmed with seed pearls held her finger-tip veil, and she carried a bouquet of kerchief, a gift from her paternal grandmother. Miss Bonnie Loson, cousin of the bride, was maid of honour, and her bridesmaids were Miss Elean- or DeCiccio and Mrs. Edwin Malkin, sister-in-law of the bride. They wore similar waltz length gowns of pastel green organza over faille, with short sleeves and the fitted bodice featured a cumber- bund with a tiered back. They wore matching veiled headdresses with white accessories and they carried cascade bouquets of yellow roses. Debora Henry, cousin of the bride, was flower girl wearing a floor length frock of pastel yellow organ- za over faille featuring a large bow at the back; she carried a nosegay of yellow and white roses. Attending the groom as best man was his brother, Mr. Leo LaBine of North Bay, Ont:, and ushers were Mr. Dennis LaBine of Pem- broke, Ont., brother of the groom, and Mr. Edwin J. Malkin of Toron- to, Ont., brother of the bride. A reception followed at the Can- adian Legion Hall where the guests were received by the bridal party and Mrs. E. Malkin, mother of the bride, received in a mid- night blue lace and organza dress with matching accessories. and cor- sage of pink roses, and Mrs. Edgar. Walsh, sister of the groom, who chose a beige sheath dress with matching accessories and a cor- sage of. shaded pink roses. Later from Dr. and Mrs. Mal- kin's cottage, Lochaven, Mr. and Mrs. LaBine left on a honeymoon for Quebec: The bride's going away costume was a powder blue walk- ing suit with white accessories and a corsage of deep pink roses. Mr. and Mrs. LaBine will live in Sud- bury, Ont. Out of town guests were from Haileybury, Onaping, North Bay, Toronto, Pembroke, Ottawa, Mid- land, Chatham, Lively, Scarboro; Weston, Walkerville, Bancroft; Spencerville, Bracebridge, Utica; N.Y., Adams, N-Y., Lowville, N-Y., and Rochester, N.Y.
