District Fastball News Sport Centre Down Grants In Regular Fixture At the Beach Park in a regular Central Group Fastball League fixture the Sport Centre Jims came up with seven runs in the sixth inning to down Grants 12 to 7. Keith Lathem was the winning pitcher allowing 12 hits, while Jim Mackey suffered the loss allowing 13 base hits. Jim Scott homered in the first inning with two men on base to jump into a three run lead. R. Carr and B. Tyson scored for Grants to pull close. Dominic Legros homered in the third to add to Jims lead. Dick Brazier tallied for Grants in the fourth. One run in the fifth and seven in the sixth for Sport Centre while holding Grants to two runs in the sixth @pened up the gam. B. Tyson Scored one run in the seventh for Grants.
