Your - Ont. The Bible To-day An emergency situation in Indo- nesia eighteen months ago called for a crash programme of printing the Scriptures. It was decided to import 500,000 copies in 22 lan- guages. A review of. this pro- gramme.in the light of the increas- ing demand brought the decision to produce 30,000 Bibles in Javan- ese, 50,000 in Toba Batah as well as 50,000 New Testaments in Indo- nesian. Fifty thousand of the Klin- kert-Bode version of the Bible will be printed in Bahasa Indonesian. After long consultation, the Indo- nesian Government has decided to allow part of the War Damage Reparation Fund to be used for the printing, in Japan, of 500,000 Bibles in Indonesian. The negotians between the Ja- panese and Indonesian Govern- ments are already in progress and it is expected that soon the Bibles will be available.
