Panarites passed away at his home on Sunday, Oct. 15. Mr. Panarites had been in poor health for the past ten years and was con- fined to his bed for the last four months. He was the son of the late Mr, and Mrs. James Panarites and was born at Koupia, Greece, on March 17, 1877. In 1906 in Pakia, Greece, he was married to his wife Alexandra who survives him. Coming to Canada in 1907, he set- tled in Cobalt where he was so well known as the congenial and res- pected owner of the Minerva Res- taurant until his retirement. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, one son Peter, three daugh- ters Mrs. Cora Petrakos, Mrs. Ka- tie Woods, Miss Stella Panarites, one brother Kosmos Panarites, Hil- ton, N.Y., U.S.A., on sister, Blaine Panarites of Koupia, Greece and two grandchildren James and Alex- andra Woods.
