Douglass scored a three fold victory at Westmoreland when his card of 89â€"16â€"73 was tied for low in the qualifying round for the' Presi- dent's trophy and won the sweep- steaks as well as the Fellowship cup. The blind bogey resulted in a tie between H. Wilson and W. M. Cromwell each having net totals of 88. J. E. Maass with 94â€"21â€"73 tied with Douglas in the elimination round. The third round of the Aber- deen trophy was also decided as fol- lows: N. C. Naylor defeated S. M. Boughton. 1 up; J. D. Archer won from G. A. Eddy, by default; D. W. Bennett defeated J. C. Lytle, 4 and 2; A. C. Boyd defeated F. Burnaby, 4 and 3. In the morning^play Monday the winners of the Blind Bogey event were C, H. Watson, 87: Dr. Corbus, 87; Fred Burnaby, 87; W. M. Jack- son, 87. Indian Hill course is in excellent condition at the present time and isjwinning the admiration of all visitors. Following a strenuous Jndepen- dance Day program the Winnetka Playfield Association will not hold any Trophy event with the exception of the Second round of the July Class tournament. A large number of starters in this play found them- selves a little .slow for their speeder fellow-citizens and will watch the succeeding rounds from the side- lines. North Shore Golf Club Saturday will hold the second round of the Director's Cup for all who survived the first round. On the same day there will be a fight for the E. B. Wilmette, and* Hubbard Woods are the six municipalities whose citizens will meet on} the links. Some of the players may wish that they lived in some other town when they find that their totals bar them from their own race.
