The estimate for widening the pave- ment back to the sidewalk line for a distance of one block in four direc- tions from the intersection was given as approximately $23,150. The proposed widening project at that point would be for the purpose of relieving the constantly increasing traffic congestion in the Linden ave- nue terminal district. With this busi- ness district enjoying a rapid devel- opment, it has been thought advisable by many village leaders that the im- provement be prosecuted without un- necessary delay. Miss Dorothy Troy, who has been spending the Easter vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. A.
