Mrs. Johnson has been sick during the week.
Mr. Morrison has been laid up with la grippe.
Geo. Springer has been laid up with a carbuncle.
Mrs. J. E. Davis has been very sick with a relapse.
A chestnut sociable was held last evening at the house of P.O. Crocker.
F.A. Drury was called away by telegram to Worcester, Mass., by the death of his mother.
The lecture of Rev. Mr. Jones has been changed from Thursday to Friday evening of next week.
A Christina Endeavor society sociable was held last evening at the home of Edwin Drury. There was a large attendance and a very enjoyable evening was passed.
The Wilmette Library and Social club held a meeting Monday evening. A very pleasing program had been arranged, consisting of music and a discussion of the life and works of Dickens. After the program the club elected the executive committee for the ensuing year.
Last Monday evening burglars tried to make an entrance into the Llewellyn Park depot where Mr. Sedgwick resides, but were frightened away; later in the night Mr. Varrel was disturbed by some one prowling around his house and also frightened the intruders away.- Media Type
