Wedding of Miss Marion Frances Whiffen [unclear] to Raymond Francis Foster, son of Julius George Foster of Austin, took place Saturday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson T. Whiffen, 1130 Ashland avenue. The ceremoney was performed by the bride's uncle, Dr. John Gilson Laurie of Galesburg, Illinois. The maid of honor was her sister, Miss Marjorie Whiffen. Mr. George Foster the groom's brother was best man, and Willard Foster, a younger brother, and Howard McKenna of Birchwood, stretched the ribbons. Mr. and Mrs. Foster will be at home to their friends at 7466 Greenwood avenue, Birchwood, after Sept. 1

Mrs. C. C. Mitchell, 814 Linden avenue, entertained members of the Wilmette Arden Shore committee at the Westmoreland Country Club on Monday afternoon. The following were guests: Mrs. T. M. Knox, Mrs. D. M. Gallie, Mrs. J. P. Gowing, Mrs. J. B. Griener and Mrs. E. P. Bartlett. Mrs. Robert B. Gregory of Highland Park and Mrs. C. K. Parmelee of Kenilworth were the out-of-town guests.

A lawn party for the benefit of the Arden Shore camp will be held this evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles T. Bointon in Highland Park. Tickets can be obtained from Mr. C. C. Mitchell at 814 Linden avenue.

Mrs. Joseph H. Long, 611 Lake avenue, entertained members of the Thursday club at luncheon and bridge at her home.

Miss Mildred Cunneen, 731 Ashland avenue, entertained twenty girl friends, members of the Kappa sorority, at a dance in her home Friday evening.

Miss Elizabeth Shapker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward B. Shapker, 823 Central avenue, entertained twelve of her friends Saturday, June 13, in honor of her ninth birthday.

Ralph Rexford Bellamy, celebrated his tenth birthday Wednesday at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rexford Bellamy, 1050 Linden avenue. Friends who attended included John Marbury, Leland Findlay [sic] [Finlay], Harvey Bowen, Chase Prescott, Billy Stattman, Glen Gathercoal, Paul Crippen, Raymond Stevens and James Gibson.

The bridal party of the Whiffen-Foster wedding was entertained by Mr. and Mrs. Wilson T. Whiffen at dinner Friday.

Julien Hess entertained a number of his friends Friday evening on his birthday.

Dr. and Mrs. Charles Reese, Mr. and Mrs. Louis A. Clark and Mr. and Mrs. Burt Ingersoll enjoyed a picnic dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry M. Gardiner, 720 Lake avenue, on Saturday evening.

Four boy friends were guests of Bill Matthews at a birthday dinner in the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. [William] D. Matthews, 1521 Lake avenue, Monday afternoon. It was Bill's fifth birthday.

Mrs. Braithwaite entertained yesterday afternoon for Mrs. Frank Harwl [unclear] of Atchison, Kansas. Mrs. J. D. Roth, 1124 Forest avenue, entertained last Wednesday at a luncheon and bridge party in honor of Mrs. G. A. Pond of New York City.

Miss Marjorie Taylor became the bride of Charles Oliver Cromwell Saturday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cortland Taylor, of 6212 Ingleside avenue. The Rev. John Hayward McKenzie rector of Howe Hall, Howe, Indiana, officiating. Miss Esther Taylor was maid of honor. Mr. and Mrs. Cromwell will be at home after September 1 at 2900 Grand Boulevard West, Detroit, Michigan.

Mrs. J. W. Roth, 725 Tenth street, entertained at lucheon Wednesday in honor of Mrs. Effie Allen of Chicago.

Mrs. Alfred B. Wilson, 510 Central avenue, entertained at luncheon Tuesday.

Members of the Methodist Church enjoyed a beach party at the home of Mrs. Karper, 1020 Sheridan road, yesterday evening.

Mrs. Frank J. Bersbach, 530 Washington avenue, entertained several ladies at tea Monday afternoon.

Miss Louise Berry entertained several girl friends at a birthday party Saturday afternoon at the home of her grandmother, Mrs. S. M. Dingee, 926 Lake avenue. It was Miss Louise's 11th birthday.

Miss Vera Lobanoff, 1118 Greenleaf avenue, was maid of honor at the wedding of Mr. Harold Norton, London, England, and Miss Muriel Squires of Edgewater last Tuesday at the Apostolic church. Mr. Paul Loganoff was an usher.

Mrs. M. C. Holt entertained guests at lucheon in her home in North Evanston Friday in honor of Mrs. C. L. Carter of Terre Haute, Ind., who is the guest of Mrs. A. C. Olendorf, 237 Linden avenue.

Mrs. Herbert B. Mulford, 835 Elmwood avenue, will entertain guests from Hamilton Park in honor of her mother, Mrs. Jane Owens of Kansas, and Mrs. H. S. Perks of New York City.

Miss Jane Kendall, 802 Elmwood avenue, entertained members of the Kappa Sigma Psi sorority.

Wilmette friends were guests at luncheon and bidge of Mrs. W. O. Beit [unclear] at the Skokie Club.
