The Misses Gillespie will spend Christmas at Winona, Illinois.

Mrs. W. G. McKenzie is spending the week in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The Boy Scouts' annual dinner will be eaten New Year's eve at Community House.

Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Matz have opened their house at Hubbard Woods for the holidays.

Rev. and Mrs. J. W. F. Davies will be at home informally on New Year's Day from four to six.

Miss Eleanor [unclear] who whas been spending the last two months in Hillsboro, Wisconsin, will return Saturday.

The Scandinavian Sunday School will have its Christmas entertainment Saturday evening at the church.

Mr. Louis B. Kuppenheimer has been elected a member of the Park board to succeed Mr. E. B. De Groot resigned.

The junior membets of the Congregational Church will give their annual dinner at Community House Tuesday evening.

Mr. John L. King of Peace Dale, R. I., is spending the holidays with his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. W. ? King.

Miss Ruth Lieber left town Tuesday to spend the holidays with Miss Smedley in Mt. Vernon and Miss Seekirk in Des Moines.

Miss Elizabeth Case has been appointed as the librarian for the Mary Williams Tyrrell library at Community House.

Monday afternoon the older members of the Congregational Sunday School gave a Christmas party in Community House gymnasium.

The next meeting of the Home Missionary Society will be held the second Wednesday in January at the home of Mrs. E. S. Snell.

On Sunday afternoon Mr. John T. McCutcheon will speak on "Impressions and Experiences of the War" at the Congregational church.

On Tuesday evening a party of boys under the escort of Mr. J. W. F. Davies attended the boys' Christmas party at Chicago Commons.

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Kultchar have arrived from La Crosse, Wisconsin, and will spend several weeks with Mrs. M. R. Kultchar and Miss Ruth Kultchar.

Mrs. Herman B. Butler will hold a family house warming over Christmas in the Prospect avenue home, for Mr. [unclear] P. Butler and Mrs. Claude Peck and their children.

Christmas week will be a week of prayer at the Scandinavian church. Meetings will be held every night at 8 o'clock with the exception of Monday and Saturday nights.

Mr. Raymond Du Brock of Daphne, Ala., is at home for the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George. E. Du Brock. Mr. Du Brock is doing well with a 600 acre farm in Daphne.

The Christmas tree of the primary class was on view Saturday in teh gymnasium at Community House. There were songs and gib round balls of popcorn and everyonw had a good time.

The first of a series of young people's subscription dances at the Woman's Club will be given Saturday night. Subscribers are given the privilege of inviting guests from out of town only.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry E. Barroll and family will spend Christmas with Dr. Barroll's father, Dr. William R. Laird of Auburn, [unclear]. Dr. Laird and Dr. Barroll will attend the meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science at Philadelphia December 28 and ?.

Mr. and Mrs. W. D. McKenzie and the Misses Williams of Elm street attended the wedding Tuesday evening of Miss Olive Payne of Western Springs, Illinois to Charles Richard [unclear]. Miss Payne is remembered as one of the popular teachers of last year at the Horace Mann School.

The Wilmette and Winnetka W. C. T. U. will hold its December meeting with Mrs. William Eisengart, 615 Ash street, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30. Mrs. Alice B. Vlier, county superintendent of [unclear] meeetings, will give an address. Mrs. Gertrude Thurston and Miss Lillian Norton will sing.

A number of Winnetka ladies will be patronesses at the concert given by the Cornell Glee Club and Mandolin Clubs at Orchestra hall the evening of New Year's day. Among them are Mesdames William J. Bryson, Victor [illegible], Augustus Peabody, John W. [illegible] and Addison Stillwell.

The president and the manager of the Winnetka Boys' Club submitted the list published in the Talk of Costumes worn at the dance given at the Woman's Club Saturday evening, December 19. The names of the prize winners were correct, but the remander of the list was a muddle. As everyone unmasked at 10 o'clock it is hard to see why there should have been any difficulty in making a correct list for publication. Was it meant to be funny?

The kindergarten class of the Congregational Sunday School held its Christmas party Friday afternoon in the assembly rooms of Community House. The entertainment began with songs and retelling the story of "The Little Christmas Tree," was told by Miss Christine [unclear] a Santa Claus rapped on the window and was welcomed by ninety small voices, and a photograph was taken of [illegible]
