- Fire investigators suspect a faulty attic fan may have started a fire early Sunday in a house on the 400 block of Maple Ave. The family escaped safely before the Fire Department arrived. Comments by Wilmette Fire Lt. Mark Cacchione. The house sustained about $100,000 in fire and water damage.
