Notes: A memorial service for Joel A. Brown, 65, of Lake in the Hills, was held July 10 at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2298, West Dundee. He was born July 7, 1939, in Brooklyn, N.Y., and died July 4 at his home. Survivors include his wife, Lynn M., whom he married Dec. 24, 1983; three children, Patti (Dave) Miller of New Jersey, Ann Olson of Orland Park, and Scott of South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Ann (née Donner); and a brother, Burt. Arrangements were made with the Wait-Ross-Allanson Funeral & Cremation Services, Algonquin.
