- Wilda Mae Turner, 82, died June 1, 2006 in Elgin, IL. She was born December 25, 1923 in Tulare, CA, to Darrell and Lenna Turner. She was was the first female to be inducted into the "Bob Elias Hall of Fame", for her contributions to the world of women's softball.
