Cook, John Sutton (Died)

John Sutton Cook passed away at his home, 1017 Greenleaf avenue, early Monday morning. He was 64 years old and had suffered a heart attack two weeks before his death.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning from the late residence to St. Francis Xavier church, in which Mr. Cook had long been active. The services were conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Bernard Brady. Burial was in All Saint's cemetery.

Surviving Mr. Cook are his widow, Agnes Dougherty Cook; three daughters, Florence, Marian and Catherine, all living at home; two brothers, Frederick and Spencer Cook, and one sister, Mrs. Violet Wilson, all of London, England.

Mr. Cook was a native of Dorking, Surrey, England. He was born on Nov. 19, 1870, emigrated to Canada at the age of 20 and came to Chicago in 1893 during the World's fair. He was connected with the Corn Exchange National bank in Chicago for twenty-eight years. In recent years he had been associated with Mitchell, Hutchins and company, investments, at 231 S. LaSalle street, Chicago.

The family is well known in Wilmette, having lived here for thirty-seven years. For the past twenty-eight years the Cooks have occupied the present home at 1017 Greenleaf avenue. Mrs. Frank Carmody and Frank Dougherty, sister and brother of Mrs. Cook, both of Peoria, were in attendance at the funeral services.
