McLaughlin, 69, of Wilmette died Dec. 12 in St. Francis Hospital, Evanston; survived by his wife Virginia; a daughter Sister Mary Frances, West Lafayette, Ind.; two sons John McLaughlin, Glencoe, and William McLaughlin, LaGrange; a sister Gertrude Lamberty, Wheeling; and seven grandchildren; funeral Mass was Dec. 15 at St. Joseph Church, Wilmette; interment in All Saints Cemetery, DesPlaines.
