- Wilmette Braves 12 and under NIHL hockey team defeated the Crystal Lake Leafs to take third place honors in the 2004 girls state tournament Sunday. The braves offensive squad consists of Erin Cook, Julia Cowan, Hope Fairclough, Allison Hackett, Barrett McBride, Courtney Hague, Alex Krevitz and Katy O'Malley. The defense includes Nathalie Lawyer, Jennifer Loewenstein, Maggie McNair, Carli Pridmore and Colleen Smith. Goaltender Kelsey Ingram. Coaches are Jim Cook, Tom Cowan and Biff Fairclough
