John S. Mercer, 85, died May 7; survived by his wife, Rose; a daughter, Florence Montrose of Dayton, Ohio; a son, John S. Jr. of New Port Richey, Fla.; five grandchildren; and a sister, Eileen Kraatz of Chicago; burial in Memorial Park in Skokie.
