Funeral services for Alexander McCulloch Lovedale, who passed away Monday at his home, 42 Kenilworth avenue, Kenilworth, following a short illness, were held Thursday afternoon from the home. Burial was at Graceland cemetery.
Mr. Lovedale was 52 years of age and for the past 20 years had resided in Kenilworth. He was a member of the Village Board of Kenilworth and a member of the police and water supply committees on that board and also the Kenilworth Building commissioner. In these capacities, since his election recently, he had been very actively interested and devoted a large amount of his time to their administration.
He was the head of the Federal Bakery in Evanston and a member of the Evanston Rotary club and the Masonic fraternity. In each of these, as in his civic activities, he was an ardent worker.
He is survived by his sisters Isabelle, Louise and Mary, the former an instructor in the school of speech at Northwestern university.- Featured Link
