- Carl E. Wenzel, 63, of 2008 Schiller St. in Wilmette died Dec. 9 [1977] at Evanston Hospital. Born in PeoriaHe is survived by his wife, Margaret; a son, James C. of Highland Park; a daughter, Nancy M. Metzlaff of Wilmette; four grandchildren; a brother, Otto of Wilmette; and four sisters, Marie Collins, Helen Collins, Lillian Ballman and Clara Stevens, all of Peoria. A funeral mass was said Dec. 12 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wilmette. Burial was in All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
