Notes: Charles William Harper, 82, a resident of Wilmette, died June 17 in Evanston Hospital.

Mr. Harper was born March 23, 1922 in New York City.

Survivors include his daughter, Jessica (Andrew L.) Barnett of Marblehead, Mass.; his son, Jim Clay (Jan Wilson) Harper, V of Wilmette; and his grandchildren, Jeremy Clayton Barnett serving with the Peace Corps in Rohatyn, Ukraine, Nicholas Dowson Barnett of Chicago, Jim Clay Harper, VI of Wilmette, Colin Reid Harper of Wilmette and Hugh Charles Harper of Wilmette.

He is predeceased by his wife, Gloria Dowson Harper.

Interment was Wednesday, June 23 at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Middletown, Ill.
