- A rock at the northwest corner of Thornwood Avenue and Ridge Road in Wilmette is periodically redecorated by Carly Graham, 15, who lives at the corner, usually choosing a theme that goes along with the season. She painted the rock on Aug. 1 in New Trier's colors in honor of her sister, Melanie's graduation. She has recently decorated it to honor the Cubs baseball team.
