- At a special meeting of the Evanston Commercial Association Thursday night the Miller Resolution was adopted concerning franchises for street railroads that may replace the Chicago & North Shore Street Railroad. A. H. Bowman, Editor of the Daily News, was opposed to the measure on the ground that the commercial association should avoid politics. Participants in the discussion included Peter Miller, William C. Levere, W. Colwell, C. D. Macpherson, Charles H. Bartlett, W. J. Hamilton, W. J. O'Connell, J. W. Work, George P. Mills, Judge John F. Boyer, Alderman James Turnock, Peter Randlev, Malcolm C. Harper, R. Clarence Brown, MRs. Locy of the Evanston Woman's Club
