48 September 18, 1947 Set Dates of Tryouts for Shore Drama Tryouts for the Winnetka D r a m a club production of " M y Sister E i leen" have been set for the evenings cf F r i d a y , September 19, and Monday, September 22, and will start promptly at 7:30 in Winnetka C o m munity House. Those who wish to work with the properties, light and stage crews are also asked to report at these times. The schedule of rehearsals will then be announced to prepare the play for production on evenings of November 18 and 19. The club has secured Miss E l y s e Einkenberger of Highland P a r k to direct the first of these plays this season. A graduate of the Northwestern university school of speech, Miss Kinkenberger is well known on the North Shore for her success as head of dramatics at Highland P a r k High school and for her direction of several plays for the Ravinia Players. Among the most popular plays she has produced are "Jane Eyre," "Pride and Prejudice" and "Green Pastures." The farce-comedy, " M y Sister E i leen," is well-known to many North Shore residents who have seen it on Broadway, in the Chicago loop, as a George K a u f m a n production, or in the motion picture of the same name, starring Rosalind Russell. The play consists of a succession of episodes in the life of a couple of girls who come to New Y o r k from Columbus, Ohio,, and install themselves in a Greenwich Village basement "studio." Chosen as winter and spring plays are "The Apple of His E y e " and "The Hasty H e a r t , " respectively. This decision was made at the last D r a m a club meeting.
