- Alderman Frank B. Dyche, Evanston, introduced an ordinance to the city council, extending the franchise of the County Transaction Company 180 days to operate the street railway. The extension is supported by the North End Improvement Association and the Evanston Commercial Association. These organizations and Northwestern University helped the company get needed frontage consents. The Sherman Avenue Improvement Association opposed extension of the franchise. The council also asked for a special election of the Mueller Law [not described]. In addition the council has made provision for a vote on annexation of territory west of Evanston.
