Loeffler, Sheila Kirk 77, of Las Vegas, NV, died October 5, 2011 after a long illness. She grew up in Kenilworth, graduated from New Trier in 1952 and from Northwestern in 1956. She raised her family in Huntington, Long Island, and lived there for many years, retiring to Las Vegas 12 years ago. She was an active participant in local politics and cared especially about school-related issues. Sheila is survived by her daughter Carla Baylis, sons Kirk Loeffler (Jessica) and Eric Loeffler (Alicita), sister Carol Smith (Charles), brother John Kirk, and eight grandchildren. Service will be private. Contributions in her name may be made to a charity of your choice.
