D u r i n g the past year, the J u n i o r g r o u p , besides h a v i n g made infants' garments for d i s t r i b u t i o n by the V i s i t i n g X u r s e association of E v a n s ton, made a c a s h c o n t r i b u t i o n to the A m e r i c a n R e d C r o s s for flood relief, a n d p r o v i d e d the E v a n s t o n hospital w i t h 150 s m a l l flags for d e c o r a t i o n of patients' trays on days of n a t i o n a l celebration. T h e proceeds of the J u n e 4 party w i l l be for g r e a t e r and m o r e farreaching philanthropic work. M r s . Junior Leaguer Mrs. John Dempsey of Cleveland zvill be elected director of Region IV of the Association of the Junior Leagues of America at its annual conference iu Chicago May 17-21. Mrs. Dempsey, graduated from Wellesley college in 1924, will be a guest at the home of the Albert Wettens, in Chicago, during the conference. She will become it Member of the Association of the Junior Leagues of America board to represent the Junior leagues of Michigan, Ohio, and West Virginia. Mrs. Dempsey, before her mamaoc. in 1928, took graduate work at Western Reserve university, Ox ford university, and Columbia university.
