M a y 13, 1937 W I L M E T T E LIFE 70 A n n u a l Child Beautiful Contest Winner O f f e r s $100 C a s h t o t h e Open to Any Boy or Girl the North Shore Area $100 for the north shore's most beautiful child. This award awaits the boy or girl in Wilmette or the north shore who wins first prize in the third annual Child Beautiful contest. Sponsored by the Bernie studio and W ILMETTE L IFE , the annual search for beautiful babies and children began this week, to continue until June 26. A n y child who lives in the north shore area extending from Howard street to Highland Park is eligible. The age limit is 10 years. The contest involves no red tape and no complicated rules. Distinguished judges of child beauty will select the winners from photographs. A l l the photographs will be made by the Bernie studio. Parents will merely be required to have their child photographed. That will automatically enter the boy or girl in the contest. Studio attendants will take care of all the details of filling out entry blanks and preparing gloss prints for the judges. A l l photographs which have been made by this studio since M a r c h 31 are eligible for the contest. Since all the pictures will be made by one studio, the gloss prints submitted to the judges will be uniform in style, size and treatment, and thus all contestants will be put on an equal footing. The Bernie studio this week called attention to the importance of arranging for pictures early in the contest, so that there will be plenty of opportunity to do each contestant justice, and the usual last minute rush will be avoided. In addition to the $100 first prize, innr other cash awards totaling $50 will be offered.
