2 School 'Firsts' Planned For New Trier West High Fifty-nine New Trier High School West students are preparing for two school "firsts." They are rehearsing for the school's first annual student-produced musical, "Potpourri," and they will be the first performers in the school's new auditorium at 7 Happ Rd., Northfield. "Potpourri," counterpart of New Trier East's annual "Lagniappe," will open at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, with other performances set for 7:30 p.m. next Thursday and 8 p.m. Oct. 28 and 29. Proceeds will go to a scholarship fund sponsored by Tri-Ship, a boys' service club, according to Maury Fisher, Wilmette, Tri-Ship president. New Trier To Sponsor Water Show A professional water show titled "Aqua Madness" will be sponsored by New Trier High School District's Swimming Organization at 8 p.m. Oct. 28 and 29 in the East school natatorium. David Robertson, director of swimming, and Bill Wolff, assislaci director, scheduled the presentation. The show will feature clown divers Dick Kimball and Ronnie O'Brien, both former diving champions. Tickets are on sale at the swimming pool office before and after the class day and on Saturday mornings. Proceeds from the show will be used to purchase trophy cases for the swimming pool. Mr. Kimball is a former National Collegiate Athletic Association diving champion and World's Professional Diving champion. Presently, he is diving coach of the University of Michigan swimming team, where he was an all-American diver. Also a trampoline champion, Mr. Kimball was diving coach for the 1964 men's Olympic team. Ann Patton of Highland Park and Harle Dammann of Winnetka head the costumes committee. Macgill Lynde and Edwin Gordon, both of Winnetka, are organizing the printing work. Architect to Teach at Country Day Chicago architect Ernest Otto Porps will aid in teaching a new course in visual studies at North Shore Country Day School. Mr. Porps will work on the program with John Almquist, director of art at Country Day. A graduate of the University of Illinois, Mr. Porps works on urban design with the Northeastern Illinois Planning Commission.
