Simms, director of the museum. This is the fiftieth free lee:. ture course upon scient_ific and travel subjects to he ' given by noted men under the auspices of the museum. The lectitres are all to be given on Saturday afternoons at 3 o'clock in the James _ Simpson theatre of 'the museum, where seats arc available for more than 1,100 persons. No tickets are necessary for admission. Direc tor Simms urges that those planning to attend arrive promptly, as the theatre doors will be closed as soon as all seats are filled. The first of the lectures is, "Across Sumatra from East to West," and will be given by Professor Adriaan J . Barnouw of Columbia university, New York.
