Saturday night, March 29, in the New Trier High School auditorium the members of the Girls Athletic association at New Trier High school will repeat a vaudeville performance which they gave so successfully two weeks ago. Half the proceeds will go to a girls' scholarship fund, and t he other half to the High School Band fund now being raised by Lloyd Hollister, Inc. The original idea of the show was to raise money to pay for repairs being made on the many trophy shields New Trier teams have won in the past years. These shields had been lying in a closet in a dilapidated condition until they were recently broug ht forth and sent to be recond itioned and shined up. It is planned t o hang them in the school's lunch room. It is the Girls Athletic association h ich is financing the task, and to procure the necessary ninety dol1ars a special G. A. A. assembly wa s held. No adm ission was charged to the students; they were simply asked to contribute as much as they thoug-ht the show was worth. The collection was t he audience's verdict, and it tot a lied $124. The rea5on for such hul!'e success was the originality and ability displayed throu~hout the presentation. When the curtain went down for the last time the students were still applauding enthusiastically for more, unmindful of the fact that already they had stayed 40 minute~ after school. It is the same program. with the addition of a ninth act, that will be presented this Saturday at the school. The admission is very moderate. This extra evening performance i~ especially designed for the benefit of the parents, who were unable to. at tend the previous afternoon.
