Burglars Get $600 In Jewe.lry From Louis Becker ·Home Burglars forced a porch window in. the home of Louis S. Becker, 105 Fifth street, early last Satttr~ay cveing and escaped with clothmg and jewelry valued at more than $600. The robbery was discovered. by Mr. and Mrs. Becker upon 'the1r return home at about 9 o'clock, after an evening away from home. The mauraudcrs worked systcmatic·alty, emptying the contents of drawers and completely investigating everything in their search for valuables. Only those things easily disposed of were taken, however, and silverware, fur coats, and other clothing "·ere left behind. It is thought likely that the invaders were disturbed while still at work, as one or two drawers remained untouched and the back door had been left wide open, as though through a hasty exit. Stone of \Vilmette, with offices at 1177 \\Tilmettc avenue, attended the nineteenth annual convention of the Illinois state Society of Optometrists held in the La Salle hotel, Chicago, February 13-14-15.
