WILMETTE LIFE June 24, 1927 Drawn from an actual photograph of the dedication of the fountain at Fountain Square tn 1876. Congratulations. · Neighbor/ ·T o the State Bank and Trust Company of Evanstont holding open house this week end in its beautiful new building here on Fountain Squaret everyone in the Quinlan and Tyson organization extends hearty congratulations. We are old neighbors and friends. Some 53 years ago, the Bank opened its doors here in Evanstont then a town of perhaps 4000 people. Not many years later, Quinlan and Tyson opened Evanston offices half a block east, at 526 Davis Street. At that time the Bank employed ten peoplet Quinlan and Tyson, six. Quinlan and Tyson now have 4 7 and the Bank 114. We have grown by serving Evanston and keeping pace with the Greater North Shore. From the opening of that first Evanston office of ours, our bank account has been with the State Bank and Trust Company, where it has enjoyed safety and the most helpful service through an unbroken period of 3 2 years. In that third of a century, we have never seen our Bank miss an opportunity to be of genuine service to its customers and to Fountain Squaret to Evanston, and to the North Shore. In erecting the new Bank building, which so thoroughly meas~res up to its opportunity as the "Keystone" of the new Davis Street business district, the bank has served its city, with its customary vision and breadth of spirit.
