Lyman to Be Commencement Orator for Garrett DAVID G. 8ARBY Cleaning and Repairing First Grade Child Wins Medal in Piano Contest Bernard Flood, a pupil in the first grade of the Logan school, was one of the children who recently won a silver medal · in a piano contest in Kimball hall, Chicago. Bernard played in one of the preliminaries in the Piano- tournament now being conducted by the Chicago Herald and Examiner. He played the Minuet by Bach. He is a pupil of the Melody Way Piano class of the public schools and was taught by Mrs. Fred Vivian. The commencement program will be launched Sunday, June 3, with the 10:30 o'clock services at the First Methodist Episcopal church. The Rev. Halford Edward Luccock, D.D., contributing editor of the Christian . Advocate and professor-elect of Yal~ divinity school, will preach. Tuesday of that week will he alumni day. At 10:45 the Chicago Methodist Preachers' meeting will be held at Stuart chapel. Dr. Luccock will give> an address on "Methodism and the Future." At 12:45 there will be ~ ministers' luncheon at th~ North Shore hotel, and at 2:15 a busmess meeting with the presiding officer the Rev. Aubrey S. :Moore, pr~sident of the general alumni association.
