Dahm of Kenilworth, had a' severe accident while practicing for the Field day exercises at the Joseph Sears school last week. She has been confined to the Evanston hospital ever since. Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Hamm, 517 Sheridan road, Kenilworth, are leaving next week for a trip to Germany, sailing J~me 9, to return some time in August. During their absence their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Rush C. Emory Andrews in Winnetka, with a large attendance to greet the return of the regent, Mrs. Fannie Cope, who ha s been iti Florida during most of th e winter~ se~~on .' ·· Mrs. Cope gave a very inter es tin g and complete report of the National convention of the D. A. R. held in Washington, giving a clear idea of th e attitude of this organi~ation in man y points recently aired by publicity. · This report, together with busin ess and reports of various chairmen oi committees, formed the program of th e day. New members were elected to fill places of officers whose term5 arc expiring at this time. Mrs. Cope wa s re-elected as regent; Mrs. Harry Harrison, first vice-regent; Mrs. Edwin Hedrick, recording secretary; Mrs. Clyde Ross, auditor. In June the chapter will have a luncheon to honor the regents of the different Chicago chapters and the chapters of the nearby suburbs.
