The school ts not cont~ected with the public schools of Wilmette but is organized for younger chtldren between 4 and 8 years of age. A supervised play hour on the beach follows exercises to develop proper breathing and correct posture and ~o teach th e children swimming strokes before they enter the water. On ramy day.s the chHdret. are occupied with handwork in the house on the. bluff. The children are called for between 8:30 and 9 o'clock in the morning and returned to their homes before noon. The school is conducted by Miss Betsy N. Shapker of 823 Central avenue.
