Battle Hard for Golf Championship A m o n g num,erous north shore golfers who competed· this week in the Women's \Vestern Championship w h i c h was staged at the Olympia Fields club were Mrs. John Arends of · the Wilmette Golf club and Miss Louise Fergus of the Evanston club. Practically all the star women players of the west competed in the event, the final of which is to be played tomorrow. In spite of their valiant efforts the north shore representatives here pictured were defeated. The defeat of Mrs. Arends came only after a hard struggle with Miss Virginia Van Wie, who holds numerous titles, by a 5-4 count. Miss Van ' Wie was iri rare form in the ma t ch with Mrs. Arends, scoring several threes. Terminal Hardware Moves to New Building on Linden Another change has just been made in the Terminal district of Wilmette. The Terminal Hardware company of which Harry Dornbos is proprietor has moved from 415~ Fourth street into a new building just around the corner on Linden avenue which recentlv was completed for Mr. Dornbos. The new building which is a three store structure is just to the west of the Schallman buildjng. The new store gives the hardware company _ample space to care for increasing business.
